A rally with a focus on female riders
Whether it’s for freedom, adventure, spiritual experience, confidence, independence, or community, women are taking to motorcycles with an increased voracity.
Women are taking the industry by storm:
25% of motorcycle purchases are made or highly influenced by women
12% of motorcycle owners in the US are women (a 28% increase in the last five years)
1 in 4 motorcycle riders (including passengers) are women
6.7 million of the 27 million motorcycle owners in the US are women
(Data from a Motorcycle Industry Council Survey)
A survey conducted by Kelton and commissioned by Harley-Davidson found that women riders are happier than women non-riders:
37% report always feeling happy
35% report always feeling confident
60% report being content with communication with their significant other
16% report always feeling happy
18% report always feeling confident
38% report being content with communication with their significant other
The Lace, Grace and Gears® rally is an event for Shamwari Village for Women. It is a celebration of women riders and a celebration of women veterans, especially those who are sleeping on the streets, couch surfing night after night, and those who have lost custody of their children while they rebuild their lives after experiencing major challenges while in the military.
